Prairie Shelties
We live
on small acreage in the prairie lands of rural west central Missouri
where the Osage once lived, Jesse James and his gang rode and Carrie
Nation tried to rid the nation of alcohol. We have owned Collies and
Shelties as pets for many years and yes they are just like potato
chips, "you can't just have one".
Our passion for these
magnificent dogs has manifested into our current pack of Shelties. We appreciate
the beauty and structure of conformation, the spirit of agility, and the strong herding senses
of this breed and hope that our dogs could and may compete in any of
these areas. But as simply a pet, you will be hard pressed
to find a more suitable breed that lives well in or out of doors, is great with
children, and coexists well with other animals.
Our dogs live with us and are primarily our pets.
They are a part of our family and we pride ourselves with keeping our
animals healthy, happy, and well socialized.
We are a registered Hobby/Show Kennel with the Missouri Department of Agriculture and members of the Greater Kansas City Shetland Sheepdog Club (GKCSSC). We breed 2 or 3 litters a year in hope of creating a better Sheltie in structure, temperment, and health.
